This free live webinar is for anyone who would appreciate a short session simply introducing the changes in JCQ regulations relating to Access Arrangements for 2025/26.
You can register by booking online below. For those unable to make Monday 1st September at 7pm, please do not book the live webinar as it blocks others from attending. Instead you can book to view the recording by clicking here and you will be sent a link on 3rd September instead.
This webinar will introduce the changes for 2025/26 to the JCQ document ‘Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA)’.
The JCQ make it easy to identify the changes each year by highlighting the major modifications in the access arrangements booklet. However, feedback has shown us that colleagues appreciate a webinar which covers the key changes, so this is it.
The ‘Introduction to the JCQ Changes 2025/26’ webinar will provide an initial overview of updates to the regulations. Nick Lait, Head of Examination Services at the JCQ, together with Caroline Read from Communicate-ed, will present the key changes for the 2025/26 guidance for exam access arrangements. This will be followed by a brief Q&A session. It is strongly recommended that you follow this up by attending a longer course which covers the changes to the regulations and the implications for practitioners in more depth. Communicate-ed offer a range of options at http://www.communicate-ed.org.uk/conference25
The course tutors are Caroline Read and Nick Lait.
Caroline is one of the founders of Communicate-ed. She is a specialist teacher who has practical experience in all areas of the access arrangements process and trains for local authorities, universities and SEND services. Caroline has contributed to a range of publications, including academic journals. She has worked with a number of publishers to develop tests, and has been involved in various DfE and Ofqual training and policy projects. She was a member of the working party that established the Access Arrangements Online system. In 2024 Caroline was presented with a University of Roehampton Chancellor’s Alumni Award, for Innovation and Inspiration in her industry.
Nick Lait is Chair of the JCQ Special Requirements Committee.
