Assessing Students with English as an Additional Language for Access Arrangements - Webinar Recording (EALWEB)

90 minutes - £20 (£15 for members if they use their discount code at checkout)

This webinar recording is for anyone working with students with English as an Additional Language (EAL), and particularly teachers and support staff considering Exam Access Arrangements for these candidates.

Caroline Read and Gurinder Grewal outline the issues faced when assessing candidates with English as an Additional Language for Exam Access Arrangements. They make suggestions for how to decide whether their difficulty is due to EAL or an underlying learning difficulty.

The course tutor is Gurinder Grewal.

Gurinder holds a Masters Degree in SpLD which included in-depth research into the identification of effective assessment procedures for EAL students. She has spent 20 years specialising in the tuition and assessment of students with SpLD and has supported EAL students of all levels as well as mentoring and training new teachers.
