Assessing Phonological Processing using CTOPP and Assessing Writing Using DASH - Webinar (CTOPPDASH)

​This webinar is for anyone who would like to use the CTOPP 2 or DASH/DASH 17+ in their assessment of students’ phonological processing and writing. It covers the background information of each test and what each subtest is assessing.

For sessions covering the detailed administration of tests, please see our Small Byte CPD courses, select a start date and then the test you are interested in.

Dr. Elizabeth Allen (CTOPP 2) and Prof. Anna Barnett (DASH/DASH 17+) will cover background information for each test, explain what each subtest is designed to assess, and how this relates to skills required in exams.

We have received such positive feedback from the conference seminar that we have decided to make the session more widely available. Dr Elizabeth Allen

Elizabeth is the Director of Research and Development at PRO-ED. She is a developmental psychologist with substantial experience in all aspects of educational and psychological test development, publishing, and software design. She has co-authored a number of assessments during her time at PRO-ED and has recently been working on guidance for conducting language assessments remotely.

Professor Anna Barnett

Professor Anna Barnett

Anna Barnett is a Professor in Psychology at the Centre for Psychological Research, Oxford Brookes University. Much of Anna’s research is in the area of motor development and disorders, particularly Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD). She has published widely on the assessment, diagnosis and understanding of DCD. Anna also has a particular interest in writing and handwriting. She is the principal author of the DASH, DASH1 7+ and Handwriting Legibility Scale and has conducted research to better understand the writing and handwriting difficulties of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including those with DCD and Dyslexia.

The webinar is SASC-approved for one hour of core CPD. Delegates who watch the full webinar will receive a SASC certificate a day or two after the webinar.
