Since Communicate-ed was established in 2002 we have had 4 aims

• To make practical and relevant training for education professionals involved in the area of Special Needs
• To provide work for our staff
• To run a viable business
• To raise funds for charity projects which support educational opportunities, particularly for those caught in poverty in the UK and overseas

We have been able to donate over £250,000 including tax added through Gift Aid to such projects.

A proportion of any profit made from courses is donated, and money has also been raised through the sale of our resources (see our webpage ‘Resources’)

In May 2007 Caroline Read, who is co-founder of Communicate-ed and one of our course tutors, was able to visit some of the projects in Africa and Asia that have benefited from Communicate-ed’s support.
